Cedric Morris's Hadleigh Painter and
horticulturalist. After extensive studies abroad, Morris developed a
distinctive, often rather primitive post-Impressionist style for
portraits, landscapes and highly decorative still-lifes of birds and
flowers. With Lett Haines, he ran his own art school in Hadleigh, Suffolk
where his garden was much admired. Works in the National Portrait Gallery Turner's sketch of Hadleigh
